IIM Indore launches customized management development programme for Iraq officials

The programme aims to equip the Iraqi delegation with cutting-edge management insights and strategic leadership skills

Indore | IIM Indore, in collaboration with ITEC and the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, has inaugurated a transformative Customized Management Development Programme (MDP) for senior officials from Iraq. The programme aims to equip the Iraqi delegation with cutting-edge management insights and strategic leadership skills. The inauguration ceremony was led by Prof. Himanshu Rai, Director of IIM Indore, with Prof. Subin Sudhir, Chair - Executive Education, also in attendance. Over the course of thirteen days, 18 accomplished senior officials from Iraq will engage in a comprehensive module, fostering cross-cultural exchanges and immersing themselves in a dynamic learning environment.

Prof. Himanshu Rai expressed his delight at the convergence of Indian and Iraqi civilizations and emphasized IIM Indore's commitment to providing contextually relevant programmes tailored to diverse domains. He highlighted the institution's world-class academic standards, its focus on learner-centered education, and its dedication to social consciousness and nation-building. Prof. Rai also expressed interest in collaborative efforts between Iraq and India to share best practices and contribute to the greatness of both nations.

During the programme, various sessions will be conducted by notable speakers, covering topics such as leadership communication, grievance management and redressal, smart cities and infrastructure development, the Swachh Bharat Mission, crisis management, and more. The officials will have the opportunity to engage with Indian government representatives, strengthening bilateral ties and deepening their understanding of governance and administration. They will also explore India's advancements in agriculture, social justice and welfare, and visit Delhi and Agra, including a visit to the Taj Mahal.

This customized MDP not only aims to enhance the officials' management acumen but also to foster appreciation for India's culture, values, and enduring partnership with Iraq. The participating officials represent various departments of the Iraqi Ministry, bringing together diverse expertise and perspectives. The programme serves as a platform for strengthening connections, exploring cultural synergies, and establishing collaborations that will contribute to the growth and development of both nations.
