New Delhi | Dr. Suresh Kumar, Managing Director of Seagull International Group, will be an eminent speaker at the 17th FICCI Global Skills Summit (GSS) 2026, being organised by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) on 12–13 August 2026 at FICCI Federation House, New Delhi.
The FICCI Global Skills Summit (GSS) is a prominent national platform bringing together policymakers, government representatives, industry leaders, employers, skilling organisations, educational institutions and international stakeholders to deliberate on the future of skills, employment and workforce development. Over the years, the Summit has facilitated important dialogue on strengthening India’s skill ecosystem and aligning workforce capabilities with the changing requirements of industry and the global economy.
The theme of the 17th edition, “Skills for the Intelligent Age: Expanding Pathways, Shaping Possibilities,” assumes particular significance at a time when Artificial Intelligence, automation, digitalisation, demographic changes and evolving employment models are transforming the world of work. The Summit will focus on building future-ready skills, strengthening industry–academia collaboration, improving employability and creating new pathways for Indian talent in domestic and international markets.
Dr. Suresh Kumar will speak at the session “Intelligent Pathways for Global Talent and Mobility,” which will examine emerging opportunities and challenges in international workforce mobility, cross-border recruitment and the movement of skilled professionals across global markets.
Drawing upon Seagull International Group’s four decades of experience in international recruitment and workforce mobility, Dr. Suresh Kumar is expected to highlight the growing global relevance of India’s skilled workforce and the need to move towards a more structured, ethical and technology-enabled talent mobility ecosystem. He will also share perspectives on international skill recognition, industry-aligned training, language and cultural preparedness, ethical recruitment, digital credentials and stronger Government-to-Government and industry partnerships to facilitate safe and sustainable workforce mobility.
The session will be moderated by Mr. Arnab Bhattacharya, CEO, GATI Foundation, and will feature distinguished speakers representing industry and international organisations, including Ms. Uma De Bose, Bosch Ltd.; Mr. Edward JF Dawson, Highfield International, UK; Mr. Terry Woychowski, Caresoft Global; Mr. Sanjay Shetty, Quess Recruitment & Search and International Talent Mobility; and Mr. Mohamed Badran, IGGSP, GIZ India.
Speaking ahead of the Summit, Dr. Suresh Kumar said:

We need to create intelligent and ethical pathways that connect skilling, international standards, certification, technology, language and cultural readiness with genuine global employment opportunities. Global talent mobility should ultimately be a win for the worker, the employer and both the sending and receiving countries.”
With global economies facing ageing populations and shortages of skilled manpower in several critical sectors, the deliberations at GSS 2026 are expected to contribute towards positioning India not merely as a supplier of manpower, but as a trusted global talent and skills partner.
