Mumbai | The reunion of Malayalam department alumni of Kayamkulam MSM College, a famous educational institution in Kerala, was held in a grand manner. The programme also held "Guruvandanam", a ceremony to honor teachers.

Poet Dr. Nooranad Suresh inaugurated the program organized under the leadership of "Ammamalayala", the alumni organization of the Malayalam department. Christopher Fernandes presided over the event. College Principal Dr. Mohammad Thaha, Head of Malayalam Department Dr. Lekha S. Babu, Dr. MK Beena, Salu Muhammad, Dr. P. Padmakumar, Susruthan, Basheer Kutty, S.Ajayakumar greeted the gathering and thanked them for organising the event

The award instituted in memory of Prof. Abdul Majeed, given to M.S.M College alumnus and Himalayan University Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Prakash Divakaran .

The memory of Professor Kozhissery Ravindranath and Pushpalayam Pushpa Kumar were recollected.

Students belong to B. A. Malayalam Department of 1980-83 to 2019-22 batches and M. A (Malayalam) batch of 2021-22 year assembled during the reunion event. Dr. M. K. Beena, AV Ranjith, Jithesh Srirangam, Vinod Kumar, Nandakumar and Kalidas spoke during the event. Many of the alumni shared their memory during the programme and entertained the audience with various art performances.
