On January 2, the 147th Mannam Jayanti day, Thane Nair Samaj workers are celebrating Mannam Jayanti with elaborate and varied programmes.

The procession will depart on Jan 2, 2024 at 6 pm, from Ayyappa Temple Precincts of Srinagar Wagle Estate and reach Nair Bhawan, Royal Tower via Srinagar through Shantinagar. Hundreds of members of the Nair community will take part in the procession carrying the portrait of Padma Bhushan Bharat Kesari Mannath Padmanabhan, accompanied by Thalapoli and Chendamelam. The procession will reach the Samajam office at 7.30 pm.

Thereafter prayer and flower offering to Mannath Acharya, followed by the distribution of a framed photo of Mannath to all the members.
The photos of Mannath Acharya are being distributed to all Nair families as part of the project "Wherever there is a Nair home, there is a Mannath Acharya". The organizers informed that more than a thousand photos have already been prepared. The formal inauguration of photo distribution was performed last day by Honorable Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri. Eknath Shinde.
