Thane | Residents of Thane are in high spirits as Sri Muthappan Mahotsavam takes place again in Thane. Sri Muthappan Mahotsavam will be held from 4th to 5th February 2023 (Saturday and Sunday) at Shanti Nagar Municipal School Ground, Wagle Estate, Thane.

Thousands of devotees even from far away participated in the Muthappan Mahotsavam, which was held for two days in Thane for many years till just before Covid.
Kunnathur paadi team from Kannur, Kerala comes to lead the Thane Muthappan Mahotsavam. It is led by Minish Kumar.
The office bearers informed that tying of Tirumudi will be done by Nijin Anjootan and tying of Muthappan Vellatam will be done by Sreejesh Mattannur and his team. The Mahotsavam begins on February 4th morning with Ganapati Homam.
