MUMBAI | Mohiniyattam led by renowned dancer Dr. Neena Prasad will be staged on October 3 at Nakshatra Festival, a dance festival of National Center for Performing Arts Mumbai (NCPA). Saugandhika Center for Mohiniyattam, headed by Dr. Neena Prasad, presents 'Kuriyedathu Thatri' at the Nakshatra Festival.

Dr. Neena Prasad responded that Kuriyedathu Thatri is a very special dance form for many reasons. “Kuriyedathu Thatri is the only lady who has shown the courage to react against the brutalities and decadence of the patriarchal Namboodhiri community. The voice of the 19th-century Thatri is still significant today, she said.
