MPCC President Nana Patole's helping hand to Malayalees who were scammed for Singapore jobs

Apart from them, there are unconfirmed reports that other Malayalees have been duped by the same agent.

Thane | MPCC President Nana Patole has come to the rescue of Malayalees who have been scammed out of Laths in the name of Singapore jobs. Suneesh Sasankan, Reji Raman, Sajith Rajan, Harikrishnan Devdas and Rajendran Damodaran, natives of Thrikunnapuzha, Alappuzha (Dist), were duped by paying money to an agent to get jobs as electricians, welders and fabricators in Singapore.

A Malayali agent named Anas took Rs 2,40,000 each from them through Google Pay by December 15 last month, believing that there were job vacancies in various companies in Singapore. The incident related to the case took place in Thane Naupada police limits. Within two days of sending the money, the agent switched off his mobile phone and absconded.
Following this, the five were coming to Mumbai in search of the agent. But when reached the office address, they found that the office was closed.
Despite visiting the police station several times, the police refused to accept the complaint or file a case. Tried to approach some organization workers in Thane but did not get much help from them either.

Jojo Thomas, the general secretary of the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC), who is a Malayali, called them to the Dadar Tilak Bhawan, the Congress headquarters, and inquired about the matter.

After realizing the seriousness of the matter, Jojo Thomas brought them to MPCC chairman Nana Patole's office. After learning the information from Jojo Thomas, Patole immediately contacted the DCP on phone and asked him to take strict action in the matter. Then the Thane DCP called the job scam victims to his office and accepted the complaint. The Malayali group told Metro Vaartha that they felt the approach of Jojo Thomas and MPCC president Nana Patole was wonderful.

At the same time, there are unconfirmed reports that other Malayalees have been duped by the same agent. Police sources said that the police are looking for the agent and strict action will be taken in this matter. In this case, since the money was paid in Kerala, the victims traveled to Kerala to register an FIR there.
