IIM Indore celebrates International Yoga Day

Indore | IIM Indore held two significant events showcasing its commitment to well-being and cultural preservation. On International Yoga Day, the entire IIM Indore community gathered for a yoga session inaugurated by Prof. Himanshu Rai, Director of IIM Indore. The session emphasised the comprehensive nature of Ashtanga Yoga and the five principles of yoga. Trainers Akash Borasi and Himani Sharma led the session, promoting physical and mental well-being.

The institute also conducted a certificate distribution ceremony for the Sanskrit Language Workshop. Under Prof. Himanshu Rai's mentorship, the workshop unravelled Sanskrit's intricacies and its cultural significance. Participants gained a deep understanding of Indian heritage and linguistic contributions.

Certificates were presented to the participants, acknowledging their dedication and successful completion of the workshop.

Prof. Rai highlighted the importance of preserving Sanskrit and its integral role in Indian culture. Mr. Pravesh Vaishnav, the workshop tutor, stressed the value of actively speaking Sanskrit to appreciate its beauty and cultural treasures.

These events reflect IIM Indore's dedication to holistic well-being and cultural enrichment while celebrating yoga and the Sanskrit language.
