This year, a 60 feet wide Onapookkalam is being prepared at the Panvel railway station.

Raigad | The Kerala Cultural Society is one of the first organizations in Maharashtra to set up Pookkalam (artistic flower bed) in public places. For 14 years since 2007, the organization had prepared Onapookkalam. But due to covid 19 and flood, it was not possible to prepare the Pookkalam for the last 3 years. The organizers have already prepared for the 15th flower arrangement this year.

This year, a 60 feet wide Pookkalam is being prepared at the Panvel railway station. Preparations for the Pookkalam will begin from the night of August 27. Social worker and KCS President Manoj Kumar MS informed that the general public will get an opportunity to see the Pookkalam from 8 am on August 29. He added that more than one hundred people prepare the Pookkalam with one and a half ton of flowers. Railway officials and cultural & social workers will inaugurate this auspicious ceremony.
