Seagull International chief to spotlight workforce mobility, skills and strategic partnerships as India–UK ties deepen post-CETA

MUMBAI: Dr. Sureshkumar Madhusudhanan, Chairman and Managing Director of Seagull International Group, has been invited to join the high-level FICCI business delegation to the United Kingdom. The delegation, led by the Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal, is scheduled for June 25–26, 2026.

This mission arrives at a pivotal moment for India–UK economic relations following the recent conclusion of the landmark India–UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA). The visit is designed to strengthen bilateral cooperation across trade, investment, technology, and strategic business partnerships.

Organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), the two-day programme will feature a series of high-stakes engagements, including the India–UK Plenary Session, sectoral roundtables, and various networking opportunities between policymakers and industry leaders from both nations.

Dr. Sureshkumar’s selection for this delegation highlights his significant contributions to global workforce mobility and his role in promoting India’s skilled talent pool internationally.

Reflecting on the opportunity, Dr. Sureshkumar stated: "India and the United Kingdom share a strong and evolving economic partnership. The recently concluded CETA presents tremendous opportunities for businesses and professionals in both countries. I am honoured to be part of this distinguished delegation and look forward to contributing to discussions that will further enhance bilateral cooperation and create new avenues for trade, investment, skills, and workforce mobility."

As Seagull International Group celebrates its 40th anniversary, the organization continues to be a cornerstone of global recruitment and skill development. Having successfully mobilized over 300,000 professionals across 25 countries, the group currently serves more than 400 international clients.

During this visit, Dr. Sureshkumar is expected to focus on fostering deeper industry-to-industry ties, with a particular emphasis on workforce mobility, skills development, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, and technology services.
