Thiruvananthapuram | The BJP in Keralam on Tuesday continued its retaliatory protests against the ruling UDF government over the black flags shown to Union Home Minister Amit Shah during his recent visit to the state.

Yuva Morcha activists blocked the vehicle of state Sports Minister O J Janeesh and waved black flags at him at Balaramapuram here on Tuesday.

The activists shouted slogans of 'Jai Yuva Morcha' and waved flags of the BJP's youth wing in front of the minister's vehicle.

Police personnel then moved them to the side of the road, allowing Janeesh's vehicle to move forward.

Police said they are registering a case against the Yuva Morcha activists for blocking the minister's vehicle.

The BJP had on Monday warned that if no action was taken over the black flags shown to Shah, which the party has termed a security breach, the CM and his ministers would find it difficult to travel on state roads.

The Yuva Morcha protests followed black-flag demonstrations by Youth Congress activists against Shah, after which the BJP's youth wing had waved black flags at Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Chief Minister V D Satheesan, Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala and several other ministers.
