Two youngsters died in separate road accidents in Kochi and Kozhikode in the state, police said

Kochi (Kerala) | Two youngsters died in separate road accidents in Kochi and Kozhikode in the state, police said on Thursday.

In Kochi, a 24-year-old man died after the motorcycle he was riding crashed into a Metro Rail pillar at Chambakkara in the early hours of Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Hormis Mathew Alookkaaran, a resident of Chithra Nagar, Thekkumbhagom, Tripunithura.

Though he was rushed to a nearby hospital, he succumbed to his injuries, police said.

In another incident, Akshaya (26), a native of Konott in Kozhikode, died after the motorcycle he was travelling on collided with a truck at Chelavoor, police said.

The accident occurred around 8 pm on Wednesday when the motorcycle collided with an Andhra Pradesh-registered truck travelling in the opposite direction.
