Two youths killed in motorcycle collision in Kochi

Two youngsters were killed after two motorcycles collided at Aluva near here early Tuesday, police said.

The deceased were identified as Devakrishna (20) of Cherai and Aadarsh (17) of Parakkadavu.

According to police, the accident occurred around 2.40 am at Pulinchode Junction, when the motorcycle carrying Devakrishna and Aadarsh was hit by another bike coming from the opposite direction.

Though bystanders rushed the injured to a hospital, both later succumbed to their injuries.

Police said the rider of the other motorcycle has been admitted to the hospital and remains in critical condition.

A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway, Aluva police said.
