Traffic ban on Vazhachal-Malakappara road

One side of the road is deep and the other side is rocky. The Kerala Road Fund Board experts found that the soil was weak.

Thrissur | A complete ban on traffic has come into effect on the Vazhachal-Malakappara road, an inter-state highway. Traffic has been completely banned till the 20th of this month. The traffic ban was imposed for reconstruction of the collapsed part of the road at Ambalapara on the Anamala road.

All vehicles coming from the Athirappalli side will be stopped at the Vazhachaal forest department check post and all vehicles coming from the Tamilnadu side via Malakappara will be stopped at the Malkappara check post. Only two-wheelers are allowed to pass through. Ambulance service will be arranged for emergency on both sides of the road reconstruction.
