Three medical students die in road accident in Kerala's Kozhikode

Three medical students died in a road accident near Koyilandy here in the wee hours of Wednesday, police said.

The three were travelling on a two-wheeler when their scooter hit an electric post at around 2 am, an officer of Koyilandy police station said.

The three, aged around 19 years, were MBBS students of the Malabar Christian College here, the officer said.

The reason behind the accident is not yet known, police said, adding that it would be known after the inquest and postmortem proceedings are over.

A case for death due to a road accident has been registered, police said.
