TDB plans to take stock of valuables in its temples

TDB president K Jayakumar said that the board is planning to take stock of the valuables, assets and other transactions in temples under its administration

Thiruvananthapuram | TDB president K Jayakumar on Saturday said that the board is planning to take stock of the valuables, assets and other transactions in temples under its administration.

The accounts will be recorded and stored digitally so that it cannot be tampered with, the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) president told a TV channel.

He said that the issue will be taken up in the meeting of its members during the day.

While the digitisation process is in accordance with a Kerala High Court order, it comes amidst allegations of valuables going missing from the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple here.

The allegation has been refuted by the Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple authorities, but the government has decided to inquire into the matter.
