Revenue department doubles 100-day action plan targets in Keralam

CM V D Satheesan congratulated Minister AP Anilkumar and officials after the Revenue dept doubled its targets under the Keralam govt's 100-day action plan for issuing land title deeds

Thiruvananthapuram | Chief Minister V D Satheesan on Friday congratulated Minister AP Anilkumar and officials after the Revenue department doubled its targets under the Keralam government's 100-day action plan for issuing land title deeds and settling land categorisation applications.

In a Facebook video, Satheesan said the UDF government's policy was to ensure land ownership for deserving people and make resolving land-related issues a priority.

"As part of this, a major target under our 100-day action plan was to distribute land title deeds (patta) to 5,000 people. However, through efficient functioning, the Revenue department issued 10,000 land title deeds, double the target. That is the most gratifying achievement," he said.

He said the target for resolving applications seeking changes in land categorisation was also exceeded.

"The 100-day action plan aimed to resolve applications from 25,000 people. That figure crossed 25,000 to reach 50,000," Satheesan said.

He said the department had thus doubled the targets for both issuing land title deeds and settling land categorisation applications under the 100-day action plan.

Satheesan specially congratulated the state Revenue minister, department officials and their teams for the achievement.

"Finding permanent solutions to land issues, granting land to the landless, providing security through official documents to those holding land, and creating peace in their lives is the declared policy of the UDF government," he said.

Satheesan said the smooth implementation of the decisions had increased confidence in the department's ability to take up future tasks.

"I am confident that the Revenue department has the capacity to accomplish them," he said.
