Man dies after fatal attack by relative in Kerala's Pathanamthitta

A 45-year-old man died after allegedly being attacked by his relative following a property dispute at Kulathumon here, police said on Thursday

Pathanamthitta (Kerala) | A 45-year-old man died after allegedly being attacked by his relative following a property dispute at Kulathumon here, police said on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Anil, a native of Chengara here.

Police have taken Sudheesh (27), a native of Kulathumon, into custody.

According to police, Sudheesh is the son of Anil's elder brother.

The incident occurred on Wednesday night when Anil reached Kulathumon, following which a dispute over property broke out between the two, police said.

In a fit of rage, Sudheesh allegedly attacked Anil, causing him to fall to the ground.

He allegedly continued the assault by kicking Anil.

Though Anil was rushed to a hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.

Police said Sudheesh has been taken into custody and his arrest would be recorded soon.

The body will be handed over to the relatives after postmortem, police added.
