Thiruvananthapuram | In view of the upcoming festival season, the KSRTC on Sunday announced additional special inter-state services to accommodate the expected increase in passenger traffic during October and November.

In a statement, the KSRTC said the special services would operate between October 14 and November 14 from various cities in Keralam to Bengaluru, Mysuru and Chennai and vice versa, in view of the Mahanavami, Vijayadashami and Diwali festivals.

Some of the services will operate on alternate days, Kerala State Road Transport Corporation said.

The corporation has made arrangements to operate additional services based on passenger demand and rush, the statement said.

Booking for the special services is available through the KSRTC website, the 'Ente KSRTC Neo OPRS' mobile app, KSRTC WhatsApp ticketing at 9447071021 and KSRTC reservation counters.

The transport corporation urged passengers to book their tickets early to avoid the festive rush and ensure convenient travel.

Mahanavami falls on October 19, Vijayadashami on October 20 and Diwali on November 8 this year.
