Thiruvananthapuram | The state transport corporation of Keralam, KSRTC, on Thursday said that it will observe a 'service and cleanliness week' from September 26 to October 2 in connection with Gandhi Jayanti.

A series of week-long activities is being organised to effectively convey the message of cleanliness and service to the public as part of Gandhi Jayanti, The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) said in a Facebook post.

The week-long activities, which will include cleanliness drives, will be conducted at all KSRTC units and workshops during this period, it said.

"Special attention will be given to cleaning and ensuring hygiene in areas such as unit premises, workshops, and passenger facilities," the post said.

The KSRTC said that steps have also been taken to ensure the active participation of local educational institutions, specifically groups like the NSS, NCC, and Student Police Cadets, in these cleanliness activities.

Through this 'service and cleanliness week', the aim is to strengthen cleanliness, the spirit of service, and social responsibility through the collective participation of employees, students, and the general public, the corporation said.
