KSRTC announces Onam benefits worth Rs 33.92 crore for employees

Kerala Transport Minister C P John on Saturday said the state government has allocated Rs 33.92 crore towards Onam benefits for KSRTC employees and pensioners.

Thiruvananthapuram | Kerala Transport Minister C P John on Saturday said the state government has allocated Rs 33.92 crore towards Onam benefits for KSRTC employees and pensioners.

In a Facebook post, John said permanent employees of the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will receive a Rs 10,000 Onam salary advance, a Rs 3,000 festival allowance, and a bonus for all eligible employees.

As many as 42,549 pensioners would receive a festival allowance of Rs 1,250 each.

He said it was for the first time since 2019 that Onam allowance was being provided to KSRTC pensioners.

Temporary employees would receive an Onam allowance of Rs 1,000, the minister said.

He said the government is committed to ensuring the welfare of KSRTC employees and pensioners and recognising their sincere service and dedication.

The minister also extended Onam greetings to the KSRTC employees and their families.
