Kochi Kicks Off the Christmas Festive Season with Crowne Plaza Kochi’s Joyful Cake Mixing Event

Crowne Plaza Kochi officially marked the start of this year's Christmas celebrations in the city with a special cake mixing ceremony, creating a joyous and festive atmosphere.

Renowned Philanthropist and Managing Director of V-Star Creations Pvt. Ltd., Mrs.Sheela Kochouseph, graced the occasion as the chief guest, joining in the fun-filled celebration.

"The cake mixing event is a wonderful way to celebrate the spirit of Christmas by bringing people together and turning a traditional activity into a memorable experience," said Mr. Dinesh Rai, General Manager of Crowne Plaza Kochi. He added that the first batch of cakes, once ready, will be sent to the children of Ashwasa Bhavan in Mattancherry, spreading even more joy and love during the festive season.

The event showcased an extravagant display of 3,500 kilograms of fruit mix, featuring premium dried fruits and nuts blended with exotic spices. The mix was infused with 300 liters of red wine and 75 liters of honey to create the rich base for the festive plum cakes. Director of Culinary, Chef Kalesh, explained the process to attendees, highlighting that the mixture will be left to ferment for 60 days before being folded into the cake dough this December. This year, the hotel is baking 10,000 rich plum cakes and is now accepting pre-orders.

The event, which concluded with a delightful high tea, attracted a diverse audience, including celebrities, influencers, corporate partners, hotel patrons, and in-house guests.
