Thiruvananthapuram | Keralam Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala on Monday paid tribute to renowned social reformer Sree Narayana Guru on his Samadhi day, saying "he taught that human existence lies in humanity".

Chennithala, in a Facebook post, also said that the Guru was a "prophet" of boundless humanity.

"The dawn of oneness awakens where all distinctions fade away. With folded hands, I pay homage to the memory of that great light," he said.

State Electricity Minister and Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) chief Sunny Joseph also paid tribute to the Guru on his Samadhi day.

Joseph, in his Facebook post, termed the Guru a visionary who transformed Keralam's social conscience through his "deeds and philosophy".

He further said that the social reformer, whose ideals "shine ever brighter with the passage of time," continues to serve as a guiding light for the future.

"Let us renew our pledge to live together in unity, mutual love, and harmony, embracing the Guru's profound message that it matters not what religion one follows, as long as one is a good human being," the KPCC chief said in his post.
