SRINAGAR — A 13-member media delegation from Kerala has officially launched a seven-day press tour of Jammu and Kashmir, aimed at assessing ground-level developmental initiatives, infrastructure growth, and socio-economic achievements across the Union Territory.

Organized by the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Kochi, the exposure visit spans from September 6 to September 12, 2026.

The delegation commenced its itinerary with a visit to the Press Information Bureau office in Srinagar. Director of PIB Srinagar, Quazi Salman, received the visiting journalists and briefed them on the media and communication ecosystem operating in the Kashmir region. The interactive session highlighted the role of PIB in facilitating information dissemination and bridging regional communication channels.

Following the briefing in Srinagar, the delegation traveled to Gulmarg in the Baramulla district to observe the region’s tourism infrastructure and natural landscape firsthand.

Throughout the week-long tour, the journalists are scheduled to visit several key infrastructure and developmental project sites across Jammu and Kashmir. The itinerary includes interactive sessions with local administrators, project heads, and community stakeholders.

According to the Press Information Bureau, the initiative is part of an ongoing nationwide media exchange program designed to foster informed reporting, promote cross-regional exposure, and offer journalists direct insights into major national development projects.
