IT sleuths verify accounts of resort linked to CPM leader in Kerala

Kannur | Sleuths from the TDS division of the Income Tax department on Thursday carried out verification of accounts of a resort here allegedly connected with the family of a senior leader of the ruling CPI(M) in Kerala, a source said.

The verification was done to check whether the resort authorities had collected tax from the very source of income, the source told PTI.

Neither the family members of the leader CPI(M) central committee member EP Jayarajan nor his party have reacted to the development.

The leader and his alleged link with the resort in Morazha area in Kannur district had been in news for wrong reasons for quite some time.
