Fishing boat burns down in Kannur's Azhikkal harbour

A fishing boat caught fire and burned down at the Azhikkal harbour here in the wee hours of Friday, the fire and rescue service said.

Kannur (Kerala) | A fishing boat caught fire and burned down at the Azhikkal harbour here in the wee hours of Friday, the fire and rescue service said.

No one was injured and no other boats docked at the harbour were damaged, it said.

Two fire tenders were dispatched to the harbour to extinguish the blaze, it added.

The exact cause of the fire is not yet known and it will be investigated by the police, the fire and rescue service said.
