Congress leader Prathapan claims 184 home votes not counted, to move Kerala HC

Thrissur (Kerala) | A day after his defeat from Manalur assembly seat here, Congress leader T N Prathapan on Tuesday alleged that 184 home votes were not counted by the election officials and said he would move the Kerala High Court against the same.

Prathapan had lost the Manalur seat by 126 votes to CPI(M)'s professor C Ravindranath.

He told reporters here that there were four election officials, responsible for carrying out home voting, who kept aside several ballots collected by them.

Speaking to reporters here, he said he had sought the counting of those ballots.

The Congress leader said he would immediately file an election petition in the High Court against this.

Prathapan also claimed that a Congress leader who regularly visits Guruvayoor temple will be the next party chief minister.
