Chief Minister Satheesan assumes office at Secretariat after swearing-in

CM V D Satheesan assumed office at the State Secretariat here on Monday after being sworn in as the head of the Kerala government

Thiruvananthapuram | Chief Minister V D Satheesan assumed office at the State Secretariat here on Monday after being sworn in as the head of the Kerala government.

After the tea gathering at Lok Bhavan, Satheesan reached the Secretariat and took charge in his chamber.

The first to congratulate him after he assumed office was Kochi MLA Mohammed Shiyas.

He was later welcomed by his staff members with a bouquet.

Satheesan then signed documents related to assuming office.

He is expected to chair the first Cabinet meeting soon.

Satheesan and 20 ministers were sworn in at a ceremony held at Central Stadium earlier in the day.
