Thiruvananthapuram | Keralam BJP chief Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Wednesday accused the Congress-led UDF government in the state of failing on development and alleged that it was pursuing "appeasement politics" after completing 100 days in office.

In a Facebook post, Chandrasekhar said the government had "failed" to deliver on most of the guarantees it had made and alleged that there had been no significant development, new industries or job opportunities during its first 100 days.

"Development is zero. Failed guarantees. Excessive appeasement politics," he said.

Chandrasekhar claimed that four of the government's five guarantees had not been fulfilled and alleged that the government had failed to properly investigate alleged irregularities in PSC examinations.

He also alleged that the government had remained silent on alleged irregularities at Sabarimala and had not taken action in the Exalogic controversy in which former Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's daughter is facing the Enforcement Directorate probe.

The BJP leader further accused the government of violating the rule of law and said Keralam had incurred an additional debt burden of Rs 12,500 crore.

He also alleged that there had been an "excess" of anti-Hindu remarks and accused the government of insulting Vande Mataram to appease "anti-national forces".

"Our youth, Ayyappa devotees and every law-abiding Malayali have been betrayed by the V D Satheesan government," Chandrasekhar said.

He alleged that the Congress-IUML government had done nothing for development in its first 100 days and would continue in the same manner over the next five years.

"VD Satheesan is elected to please the Muslim League and Jamaat-e-Islami, not for the development of Keralam," he said.

Chandrasekhar described the UDF government's alleged approach as "#APAKADAMPolitics" and said it was "dangerous for the future of Keralam and India".

The UDF government, led by Chief Minister V D Satheesan, completed 100 days in office on August 25.
