Aster MIMS Kottakkal Supports Kidney Transplant Recipient's Education and Employment

Kottakkal | Aster MIMS Kottakkal, extends a compassionate gesture on World Kidney Day by supporting a girl’s journey post kidney transplant. Farzana, hailing from Malappuram, received financial aid from the hospital to pursue further education. This act of charity coincided with the observance of World Kidney Day. Hospital officials also announced that upon completion of her medical lab technician studies, Farzana would be offered a job at Aster MIMS Kottakkal.

Farzana's battle with a life-threatening kidney disease led her to Aster MIMS, Kottakkal. With no alternative but kidney transplantation, coupled with her family's financial constraints, the hospital and voluntary organizations stepped in to secure funds for her treatment. In November, she successfully underwent the transplant.

Despite her health challenges, Farzana displayed unwavering determination and resumed her para-medical studies. Learning of her aspirations, the hospital helped her, providing crucial support.

Doctors from the Nephrology Department, including Dr. Ranjith Narayanan, Dr. Sajeesh Sivadas, and Dr. Shysil Shafeeq, visited Farzana to deliver financial assistance and job offer. Now, Farzana is eagerly waiting to complete her studies and secure the job offer while embarking on a new chapter of her life.
