Boy injured in wild buffalo attack in Kerala's Idukki

A seven-year-old boy was attacked by a wild buffalo near Marayoor here on Thursday while he was waiting for a bus to go to school

Idukki (Kerala) | A seven-year-old boy was attacked by a wild buffalo near Marayoor here on Thursday while he was waiting for a bus to go to school, police said.

The incident occurred around 8 am, it said.

The bovine jumped over a low wall behind the bus stop and attacked the child as he attempted to escape, according to visuals shown on TV channels.

The boy suffered serious injuries to his shoulder and has been taken to a hospital in Adimaly for further treatment, police said.

It said that there was another wild buffalo attack in the area around three months ago and back then also one person was injured in the incident.
