Boy chokes on peanut, dies in Kerala's Malappuram

A three-year-old boy died after choking on a peanut from a snack he was eating at his home in Kunnumpuram, two days ago

Malappuram (Kerala) | In a tragic incident, a three-year-old boy died after choking on a peanut from a snack he was eating at his home in Kunnumpuram here two days ago, police said on Wednesday.

The incident occurred on Monday, an officer of Vengara police station said.

"The child was eating mixture when a peanut from it got accidentally lodged in his throat and he choked on it," the officer said.

The toddler was rushed to a nearby hospital, but his life could not be saved, police said.
