Aster Medcity’s International Summit on Precision Oral Oncology Concludes Successfully

The Centre of Excellence in Head & Neck Surgery and Oncology at Aster Medcity successfully concluded the three-day Aster International Summit on Oral Oncology (AISO 2026).

Kochi | The Centre of Excellence in Head & Neck Surgery and Oncology at Aster Medcity successfully concluded the three-day Aster International Summit on Oral Oncology (AISO 2026).

Held under the theme “Precision From Diagnosis to Identity Restoration,” the summit brought together leading clinicians, researchers, academicians, and trainees from across India and abroad to discuss advances in patient-centered and function-preserving oral cancer care.

AISO 2026 showcased cutting-edge developments in oral cancer diagnosis, treatment planning, resection, reconstruction, rehabilitation, radiotherapy, systemic therapy, and precision oncology. The scientific programme focused on multidisciplinary approaches aimed not only at cancer control, but also at restoring speech, swallowing, appearance, function, and social identity for patients affected by oral cancer.

The summit also featured hands-on workshops on virtual surgical planning, mandibular osteotomy, and advanced suturing techniques, providing participants practical exposure to modern surgical workflows, digital technologies, and reconstructive principles.

The conference was held under the leadership of Dr. Shawn T. Joseph, Senior Consultant and Program Director, Head and Neck Oncology Network, Kerala Cluster, Aster Medcity.

Head and neck surgeons, plastic and reconstructive surgeons, ENT surgeons, maxillofacial surgeons, dental surgeons, medical and surgical oncologists, postgraduate students, and fellows from across the country attended the event held at Aster Medcity, Kochi.
