Kochi | Aster Medcity has successfully completed over 5,000 successful joint replacement surgeries. To mark this milestone, an event titled 'Ballerina' was organized in connection with Kerala Piravi Day, featuring acclaimed actress Asha Sharath as the chief guest, who interacted with patients that successfully recovered from joint ailments.
The milestone of 5,000+ joint replacement surgeries was accomplished under the leadership of Dr. Vijaya Mohan S., Senior Consultant and Head of the Orthopaedic Surgery Department, and his team. Among these, more than 500 surgeries were performed using cutting-edge robotic joint replacement technology.

As part of the celebrations, a Thiruvathirakkali performance featuring Asha Sharath alongside the Orthopaedics Department staff drew attention. Dressed in traditional Kerala attire, patients who regained mobility through joint replacement surgeries joined doctors and staff, making the event a memorable experience.
