Actor and Director V P Ramachandran passed away

Winner of Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy Award

Kannur | Film-serial-drama actor VP Ramachandran passed away. He was 81 years old. Funeral tomorrow at 9 am in Smriti. He was also a director and Sangeetha Nataka Academy Award Winner.

He is a native of Payyannur. He was a retired Air Force officer and an employee of the American Consulate. He was active in films from 1987 to 2016.

 He acted in films like Kilipattu, Appu and Iyer the Great. He gave his voice in many films. He has played lead roles in many dramas and many serials since the early days of Doordarshan.

VP Ramachandran directed the serial 'Nomberam' which telecasted in the early days of Doordarshan. World famous dancer Padma Bhushan V P Dhananjayan is his brother. Wife: Valsa (Omana). Children: Deepa and Divya Ramachandran.
