New Delhi | Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Commerce & Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, and MoS for Electronics & IT Jitin Prasada met the Prime Minister of Singapore, Lawrence Wong, on Thursday and discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
"The leaders discussed the progress made in implementing the Roadmap for the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation across economic cooperation, digitalisation, connectivity, skills development and sustainability," the finance ministry said in a post on X.
Sitharaman is leading a ministerial delegation to participate in the 4th India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable (ISMR) on August 19-20.
Established in 2022, the ISMR is a key high-level economic mechanism between India and Singapore. It provides a platform to review progress and explore new areas of collaboration across six pillars: advanced manufacturing, connectivity, digitalisation, healthcare and medicine, skills development, and sustainability.
