The Supreme Court refused to stay the decision of the Election Commission recognising Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde-led faction as the real Shiv Sena and ordering allocation of ‘bow and arrow’ poll symbol it. 

After much delay since the high-stakes civic polls in Delhi, AAP's Shelly Oberoi defeated BJP's Rekha Gupta by a margin of 34 votes to become the mayor of Delhi, MCD officials announced. Oberoi polled 150 votes, while Gupta received 116 of the total 266 votes polled.
