SN Mission celebrates the 169th Jayanthi of Jagatguru Sree Narayana Guru

Sree Narayana Mission, Bhopal, along with the Youth Wing, celebrated the joyous commemoration of the 169th Jayanthi of Jagatguru Sree Narayana Guru.

Bhopal | Sree Narayana Mission, Bhopal, along with the Youth Wing, celebrated the joyous commemoration of the 169th Jayanthi of Jagatguru Sree Narayana Guru. The event resonated with the spirit of Kerala, creating a sense of unity with the presence of officer bearers of various Bhopal Malayalee community associations and devotees.

The President of SNM, M. N. Sadanandan, extended a warm welcome to the esteemed guests and devotees gathered for this auspicious occasion. The highlight of the event was a spiritually enlightening discourse, where two eminent figures shared their insights.

Shri Vaikom Murali, renowned spiritual preacher and scholar from Vaikom, Kerala, and well-versed in the teachings of Gurudev, took the stage as the Chief Guest. A.G. Vallabhan, a senior journalist and President of Bhopal Nair Samajam, graced the event as the Guest of Honour. Both luminaries shed light on the life and monumental achievements of Jagatguru Sree Narayana Guru, inspiring all present.

The SNM General Secretary, B. Raju, expressed gratitude on behalf of the mission and its associates. Girish Ravindran, President of SNM Youth Wing, motivated the young participants for their active involvement, which significantly contributed to the success of the event.

The day-long festivities commenced with sacred rituals including Ganapathi Homam, Abhishekam, Sharada Pushpanjali, Flag Hosting, Guru Krithi, and Guru Keerthana Parayanam. On this occasion, the foundation stone of the Sharda Bhavan was also laid. This building will be built with the courtesy of Sibi Sudhakaran. The event also served as a platform to honour meritorious students with Education Awards, further enhancing the spirit of the celebration. The attendees were treated to the traditional Chathaya Sadya (Feast) that added a delicious dimension to the festivities.

The evening session unfolded with a captivating array of cultural and entertainment programmes. From sports competitions and the Athapoov contest to the graceful Deeparadhana, a symbolic welcome to King Mahabali, Thiruvathira performances, thrilling boat races, and mesmerising dance and music displays, the evening was a true reflection of rich culture and enthusiasm.

As per Deepak Damodaran, SNM Publicity Secretary, the event culminated with the recognition and rewarding of outstanding performers in both cultural programmes and sports, followed by a gracious Vote of Thanks delivered by Sachin Satyaseelan.
