Indore | A police complaint has been lodged against actor Taapsee Pannu here by the Hind Rakshak Sangathan for allegedly hurting religious sentiments and spreading obscenity.

The complaint was filed by Hind Rakshak Sangathan convenor Eklavya Singh Gaur who is the son of BJP MLA Malini Gaur. The organisation has demanded that police register a case or else there would be demonstration against her.

The complaint said the actor had uploaded a video on her Instagram on March 14 of a fashion show where she was allegedly wearing an indecent dress. Along with this she was also wearing a locket of Goddess Lakshmi around her neck. He said this was a planned attempt to "degrade Sanatan Dharma".

Taapsee had turned showstopper for Monisha Jaising on the third day of Lakme Fashion Week, last week. On Monday, the Manmarziyan actor shared a picture of herself in which she is seen wearing a red outfit with a heavy choker necklace. Days after sharing a video of her ramp walk, she gave a closer glimpse of her look on her official Instagram account.

While some fans praised her and dropped adorable comments, others trolled her for her choice of outfit and jewellery and slam her for wearing a necklace featuring traditional motifs.
