One station-one product phase 15 from April 10

The 15th phase of the one station-one product scheme, launched to encourage local products around railway stations, will start from April 10.

Indore | The 15th phase of the one station-one product scheme, launched to encourage local products around railway stations, will start from April 10. Permission will be given to set up stalls at the station for two months. In the previous phases, permission was to be given for 15 days. An attractive outlet with electricity connection will be provided at Indore railway station.

Western Railway PRO Khemraj Meena said that in this phase, stalls would be allotted for two months here and at Ujjain, Dewas, Ratlam, Dahod, Chittorgarh, Neemuch and Nagda stations.

Self-help groups or local organissations would be able to set up stalls for two months by giving details of their products. Registration would have to be done by depositing Rs 4000 with the railway administration, Meena said, adding that stalls of quality local food items, handicrafts, handlooms, local artifacts, local toys, leather goods, local dress, traditional equipment could be set up.

Western Railway Ratlam Division has set up stalls at various stations under the scheme. So far, 140 stalls have been installed here and at Ujjain, Dewas, Ratlam, Dahod, Shujalpur, Chittorgarh, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Meghnagar and Nagda in different phases where goods worth more than Rs 30 lakh have been sold.

The first phase was launched on March 25, 2022.
