Lalwani writes to CM for aerocity in Indore

Indore | Shankar Lalwani, MP, has written a letter to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan demanding construction of an aerocity on the economic corridor to be built between the airport and Pithampur. He said many hotels and conference centres were built in one place near major airports so that people coming for business did not need to go to the city and their stay and business-related work could be done from around the airport. And the city needed such an aerocity.

People arriving for business from the metropolitan cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Bengalore could stay in the aerocity itself and hold business meetings and conferences. This would reduce traffic pressure in the city and also save time. As a result, commercial activities would increase rapidly in the city and there would be more employment opportunities.

This was a very fast-growing city and with the aerocity, the pace of development would accelerate, Lalwani said in his letter.
