Dhar | Continuous action is being taken by the Food Safety and Drug Administration in the district against adulterated milk products. Under this, samples of milk and other food items are being sent from the milk dairy for testing. In this series, samples of milk, ghee and curd have been taken by the department from different places of the district.

Actually the demand for milk and curd increases in summer. Especially curd is used more. In this sense, the adulterated material does not reach the people, therefore, samples are being taken and investigation is being done continuously. If adulteration is found, there is a provision of penalty by taking due action.

Food Officer Sachin Longaria said that action is being taken on milk chilling plant and milk dairies. Under the direction of Collector Priyanka Mishra, the sampling action of milk and milk products at Bulk Milk Chilling Plant and Milk Dairies is continuing.

In this regard, 11 samples have been taken from 7 different establishments in the last two days. These include samples of milk, curd and ghee which has been sent to Bhopal for investigation. On the basis of the investigation report, action will be taken under the Food Safety and Standards Act 2006. This action was taken by Designated Officer Sachin Longaria, Food Safety Officer Shailesh Kumar Gupta and RG Mauta.

On March 7, samples of mixed milk were taken from Government Milk Committee, located in village Barmandal Sardarpur and mixed milk from Pawan Maru's Ramdhun Milk Dairy. Similarly, a sample of mixed milk was taken from the milk producer cooperative society located in village Dasai Tehsil Sardarpur for testing.

Again on March 9, 2023, samples of mixed milk and ghee from Sharda Dairy located at Trimurti Chauraha Dhar, samples of mixed milk and curd from Somani Milk Service located at Rajwada were taken for examination.
