Chenda beats, floral rangoli and Onasadya marks the Onam celebration of BNS

Bhopal Nair Samaj celebrated ONAM on 3 rd September from 10 am onwards at “Mannam Bhawan” Sree Mannam Khajurikalan Road, Piplani. Bhopal Nair Samaj, established in 1981, is engaged in Socio-Cultural and humanitarian activities.

Bhopal | Bhopal Nair Samaj celebrated ONAM on 3 rd September from 10 am onwards at “Mannam Bhawan” Sree Mannam Khajurikalan Road, Piplani. Bhopal Nair Samaj, established in 1981, is engaged in Socio-Cultural and humanitarian activities.

In the cultural programme, participants performed Kerala art forms like Thiruvathirakkali, Chenda Melam , Athapoov competition(floral decoration etc ) .The show stopper was the traditional ‘Onasadya’ a sumptuous feast on Onam day with variety of Kerala curries and “Payasam’ as a dessert.

“ONAM is the most popular festival of Kerala which is celebrated by all sections of the society in Kerala. The festival Onam is celebrated in remembrance of the popular King Mahabali who once ruled the State with utmost care and affection. We believe that he visits the State on every ONAM Day to enquire about the well-being of his people and returns back fully contended”, said BNS President AG Vallabhan.
