Bhopal | One of the founding members of BJP, Kailashi’s son and former Minister Deepak Joshi has publically announced to leave BJP and join Congress on May 6.

Deepak Joshi is a two time MLA and the former minister Deepak Joshi, 60, is a former technical education minister in the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government and a three time MLA.  If Deepak Joshi is to be believed, he will take the photo of his father Kailash Joshi to the Congress office and put it in the PCC office.

Deepak Joshi's son Jaivardhan Joshi is the state co-convenor of the BJP business cell. Jayawardhan is also a state executive committee member of the BJP Yuva Morcha. Deepak Joshi's preparations to leave BJP and join Congress may have been completed but his son Jaivardhan will stay with BJP and  will continue to discharge whatever responsibilities he will get in the party.

Deepak switched off the mobile and is out of bounds to even the senior party leaders who wanted to pacify the long neglected leader.

On the news of Deepak Joshi joining Congress, Leader of Opposition Dr. Govind Singh said that Deepak Joshi will get full respect in Congress. Congress party will take full care of Deepak Joshi. The person whose father irrigated the party and made it worthy that he is in power today is being insulted.

Deepak’s father Kailash Joshi was the ninth Chief Minister of MP for 208 days in 1977-78 and is considered the political guru of many senior BJP leaders, including Uma Bharti.
