Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer offered prayers at Lord Venkateswara temple on Saturday. He was on his maiden visit to the shrine run by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams.

Tirupati | Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer offered prayers at Lord Venkateswara temple here on Saturday. He was on his maiden visit to the shrine run by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).

Following tradition, the Governor initially prayed at Sri Bhu Varaha Swamy temple and was later received at the Maha Dwaram (main entrance) by TTD executive officer A V Dharma Reddy while priests offered "Istikaphal" welcome in a traditional way.

"After the darshan of Sri Venkateswara Swamy inside the Sanctum Sanctorum, the Governor was rendered Vedasirvachanam (Vedic blessings) in Ranganayakula Mandapam," said TTD in a statement.

During his visit, Nazeer was accompanied by his family.
