The Iron Claw to Grapple Indian Audiences on February 9

New Delhi | Zac Efron-starrer "The Iron Claw", a biographical sports drama based on the life of professional wrestler Kevin Von Erich, is set to release in India on February 9.

Written and directed by Sean Durkin, "The Iron Claw" also stars Jeremy Allen White, Harris Dickinson, Maura Tierney, Holt McCallany, and Stanley Simons in key roles.

The film's title is inspired by Von Erich's signature move. The movie maps the rise of Von Erich brothers in the world of professional wrestling in the early 1980s under the watchful eyes of a domineering father.

Kamal Gianchandani, CEO of PVR Pictures Limited & PVR Limited, said they are thrilled to bring the much-anticipated title to theatres in India.

"Director Sean Durkin has beautifully captured the essence of this emotional story, along with the complexities of generational trauma, familial expectations, and the bonds between the Erich brothers... We strongly believe it's essential to bring such stories to the forefront, and we're honored to be part of sharing this important tale with audiences in India," Gianchandani said in a statement
