New Delhi | "Vvaan “ Force of the Forrest", featuring Sidharth Malhotra, has earned over Rs 40 crore in three days at the domestic box office.

The film is directed by Arunabh Kumar and Deepak Mishra and hails from Ektaa R Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms Ltd and The Viral Fever (TVF). It released on Friday and also features Tamannaah Bhatia alongside the actor.

Malhotra shared the news with a post on his Instagram handle on Monday, which featured the film's poster. "The roar is getting louder. #THEVVAANInCinemasNow Book your tickets: Link," read the caption.

The film earned Rs 9.60 crore on the opening day and went on to earn Rs 13.5 crore on Saturday and Rs 17.80 crore on Sunday at the domestic box office. The total collection of the film stands at Rs 40.90 crore gross at the domestic box office.

The film revolves around a rational Mumbai-based engineer named Rishi (Malhotra) and his wife Mamta (Bhatia) as they travel to his ancestral village in Devanchal, Bihar, around the time of Chhath Puja.

Actors Sunil Grover, Avtar Gill and Anup Soni, round off the cast of the film. It also serves as the first collaboration for Bhatia and Malhotra. It is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R. Kapoor, Arunabh Kumar, and Niraj Kothari.
