Prabhas-starrer 'Fauzi' set for December 3 theatrical release

Telugu superstar Prabhas on Wednesday announced that his upcoming historical drama "Fauzi" will release in theatres worldwide on December 3.

Mumbai | Telugu superstar Prabhas on Wednesday announced that his upcoming historical drama "Fauzi" will release in theatres worldwide on December 3.

The 46-year-old actor shared the release date on Instagram along with a new poster of the film.

Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, "Fauzi" is billed as a historical fiction drama centred on a soldier.

The newly unveiled poster shows Prabhas in a blood-soaked avatar, perched atop a rock with bodies lying around him as he clutches a gun.

Featuring the tagline, "A Battalion Who Fights Alone", the artwork teases an action-packed war drama centred on courage, sacrifice and rebellion.

The film stars debutant Imanvi as the female lead alongside veteran actors Mithun Chakraborty and Jaya Prada.

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with T-Series, the film features music by Vishal Chandrasekhar, cinematography by Sudeep Chatterjee and editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao.

"Fauzi" was announced on Prabhas' birthday in 2023 with a first-look poster introducing the actor in the lead role.

Prabhas, who was most recently seen in "The RajaSaab", which made its debut in theatres in January this year, has a busy slate of films lined up over the next few years.

He is currently shooting for Sandeep Reddy Vanga's "Spirit", in which he is set to play a police officer.

He will also reprise his role as the bounty hunter Bhairava in Nag Ashwin's "Kalki 2898 AD: Part II", the sequel to the 2024 sci-fi epic that also starred Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan.

In addition, Prabhas is expected to reunite with "Salaar" director Prashanth Neel for "Salaar Part 2: Shouryaanga Parvam", which will continue the story of Deva after the events of the first film.
