Jason Statham's 'Mutiny' set for August 21 release in India

PVR INOX Pictures on Wednesday announced that it will release Hollywood action thriller "Mutiny", starring Jason Statham, in Indian cinemas on August 21.

Mumbai | PVR INOX Pictures on Wednesday announced that it will release Hollywood action thriller "Mutiny", starring Jason Statham, in Indian cinemas on August 21.

Directed by Jean-Francois Richet, the film is about a man who is framed for a crime he did not commit and is forced to unravel a dangerous conspiracy while evading powerful enemies.

Statham essays the role of Cole Reed, who after witnessing his billionaire boss's murder and being framed for the crime, boards a cargo ship on a one-man crusade to avenge his death only to discover an international conspiracy, according to official synopsis.

The film also stars Annabelle Wallis, Roland Møller, Jason Wong, Adrian Lester and Arnas Fedaravicius. It is written by Lindsay Michel and J.P. Davis, and produced by Statham through his Punch Palace Productions banner along with Marc Butan.

Statham, one of Hollywood's biggest action stars, is known for films such as "The Transporter" series, "Crank", "The Expendables", "Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw", "The Meg", "The Beekeeper" and "A Working Man".
