On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for May delivery grew by Rs 15.55, or 1.21 per cent, to Rs 1,302 per kilogram in a business turnover of 1,800 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
